Your profiles stay in your browser. Nothing about
them reaches the server unless you turn on Sync.
The Android app has its own policy.
The website
The solver runs in your browser. The server sends the page and the cartridge
sheets you open, and that is all it does unless you sign in.
- Your profiles are kept in your browser, not on the server. Clearing
site data removes them.
- Location is read only when you press one of the Use location
buttons, and only to fill in the altitude or latitude box. The position is
used to fill the box and then discarded.
- Sync is optional and off unless you create an account. If you do,
the profiles you sync are stored on the server so another device can fetch
them, along with the username and the PIN as a PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 hash with
a per-user salt, never the PIN itself. No email address is asked for or
held.
- Failed sign-ins and new accounts are counted by IP address for
fifteen minutes, to stop people guessing PINs, and then deleted.
- The web server keeps ordinary access logs — the usual request
records any web server writes. They are not used to build a profile of
anyone and are not shared.
- The site is served through Cloudflare, which handles each request
on its way to the server, as any host's network does.
- Send feedback in Settings opens your own mail app with a draft.
Under what you type, it holds the site build, your browser, and the load
and conditions on screen, including a latitude if you entered one. You can read, edit or delete any of it. Nothing goes anywhere
unless you send it from your mail app. If you do, we receive your email
address and the message, and use them only to reply and fix the problem.
- No analytics and no advertising.
What is never done
Nothing is sold, rented or shared with anyone, and no data is used for
advertising or profiling. There is no tracking across other apps or
websites.
Children
Trueline is a technical tool for shooters and is not directed at children.
