Every number Trueline shows is an estimate.
Confirm it by live fire at known distances before you rely on it, and never
use it as load data.
Trueline is published by Trueline Balistics LLC, an Indiana limited liability
company ("we", "us"). Using the app means you accept these terms.
What Trueline is
A ballistic calculator. Every figure it shows, including drops, holds, wind,
time of flight, energy and stability, is worked out from a model, from
published data and from what you type in. Any of those can be wrong, and
software can have bugs. Trueline labels which rows come from your own measured
data and which are extrapolated, but a label is not a guarantee.
Verify before you rely on it
Check Trueline's output by live fire at known distances before you depend
on it. Never make a shot decision on its output alone, especially when
hunting, at long range, or anywhere a miss could endanger people, animals or
property. Safe handling, knowing your target and what is beyond it, and
following firearm and hunting law are your responsibility.
Not reloading or gunsmithing data
Trueline does not provide load data. Velocities, powder temperature
figures, and cartridge, case and chamber dimensions are there for the
ballistic calculation only. Do not use them to develop loads, make or modify
ammunition, or chamber or modify a firearm. For that, use the powder and
bullet makers' published load data and the official SAAMI or C.I.P.
publications.
Published figures
Ballistic coefficients, dimensions and other reference figures come from
manufacturers, standards bodies and other published sources. Trueline shows
where each one came from, but we do not guarantee that any of them is
accurate or current. Trueline is not affiliated with any bullet, ammunition
or firearm manufacturer.
Your use
You may use the app on devices you own or control, for your own shooting. You may not resell or redistribute Trueline,
or decompile or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it. The
profiles, rifles and dope you enter are yours.
Purchases and refunds
The Android app is sold through Google Play. Google handles payment and
refunds under Google Play's policies.
No warranty
TRUELINE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY
KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT
ITS OUTPUT IS CORRECT OR THAT IT IS FREE OF ERRORS.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY,
DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOST GAME OR OTHER LOSS ARISING FROM USING OR RELYING
ON TRUELINE OR ITS OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE
GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID FOR TRUELINE OR TEN U.S. DOLLARS. Some places do not
allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes
If these terms change, the date above changes with them. Using Trueline
after a change means accepting the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Indiana law. Any dispute goes to the state or
federal courts in Indiana, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
